Imagine a wedding that’s as cool and authentic as the couple themselves, where a casual neighborhood pizza parlor is transformed into a chic setting and every detail shouts personality. Ally and Peter’s wedding day was full of unexpected delights, from getting ready together, to custom painted leather jackets, to a dance battle at the reception. They even threw in a surprise ceremony at the party – because this wedding was that cool. Ally and Peter kicked off the day with photos at The Reach at The Kennedy Center, a backdrop as modern as they are. And yes, their dog Gus made a cameo. Friends and family gathered at Sonny’s Pizza, where the real magic happened as we transformed it from neighborhood staple to an epic wedding venue. Sleek black rental furniture, floral-lined tables, and soft lighting, plus a ceiling filled with dazzling disco balls and clouds of baby’s breath set the tone for an evening of unabashed dancing and celebration. Then came the big surprise: an unexpected wedding ceremony – cue the cheers! After a family-style Italian dinner (pizza included, of course) the DJ kicked up the music, the dance floor exploded, and Peter’s former breakdancing crew shut it down. And in case you missed it, friends passed out temporary tattoos with the groom’s face on them. This was a celebration of two people who dared to be exactly who they are – always our favorite kind.
